Here we go!

It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally entered the blogosphere.  After nearly two years, nearly a dozen academic papers, part of a MA thesis, and watching my friends expand their personal and professional writing, it’s high time I had one of my own.  I think I’ve been trying to find the perfect way to start one, a brilliant first post that announces that things are about to change around here.  That is stupid.  That is the kind of thing that keeps me from being the prolific writer I should be.  So I offer you, dear Internet, this rambling nonsense about how I have waited so long to start blogging.  In essence its like hanging out with me in real life, by which I mean the Internet, which is real life anyway.

So that’s about it for now.  I hope to make this a place to offer up my take on things from the various lives I lead.  Stay tuned for “insightful” commentary on political pop-culture, comedy and mass/new/social media.  Or maybe something completely different.  Or a third thing.

Writing, like life, is a process.  In exploring one I hope to understand the other.
